Thanks to everyone's for your replys to my questions. I'm a newbie and this very much a learning curve. A bit alarmed by how long some you've had it for AND still may get flare !ups but thank very much and stay well everyone

You can’t do a lot about how long the illness lasts, but there are some things you can do to avoid unnecessary flares. The main thing is to reduce slowly by educating your doctor (not easy) that’s the way to do it!

Listening to your body and planning ahead, and trying to side step stressful situations (again not easy) -and saying “no” to people expecting you to do things you did before PMR. Just because you don’t look any different, doesn’t mean you don’t have a serious illness.
