I took my last steroid yesterday almost 5 years after the first. Those years of steroids for GCA would have been much less easy to bear without this forum and the kind and generous advice I have been given. I am still on Methotrexate but am looking forward to the end of that fairly soon.

But remember it still takes body up to a year to get back to normal after steroids- and not every ache and pain is a return of GCA!
