Oh merril, so sorry you are going through this. Have you any help at home? You really need some TLC. Bib, big hugs!

So sorry to hear this, but you do need immediate help, did you take up the suggestions made in last post about contacting the emergency eye clinic (guess so if ongoing appointments), with assistive software for computer and get help from RNIB

Wishing you all the best

Thank you DL and all who replied to me, it means a lot to me. The process here is tat 1st the screening , 2nd the appliances and 3rd which for me is the 30thJune. I now have glasses fot TV, mag with a light, and a mag on a rope if I want to crochet, All helpfful but not what I think I need! GCA was only mentioned in passing, but a little late i think.Since the ablation on back hasnt helped i have made a decision. I will find a surgeon willilg to operate with a GA and hope for the best. At least I mighe be a little more independant. perhaps tomorrow I will be more composed. it has just taken me two hours to order my food fot tomorrow. Tired now and going to lie down

I can only imagine how tiring it must be trying to cope….have some insight (excuse the pun) into sight disorders. but nowhere near as bad as yours.

When you feel up to it please keep us updated -and all the very best.🌸

DL I was under the impression that GCA was not painful. Am I wrong? My eyes and their sockets are often painful .Just hadnt given it much thought, but will mention it on Thursday at hospital

Not a common symptom no, although if they are very dry they can feel uncomfortable - but not painful as such. Or it could be eye strain as you are struggling to read etc. But do discuss on Thursday.
