Has anyone had a fifth Jab?

I have had four jabs so far, the last one being my booster on 5th March 2022. I have now been sent an appointment for a fifth jab in June. I queried this because I was told that I would not have another jab "for some time" when I had my booster in March, but they said that it was because I had an "underlying condition" and that "circumstances change". I am currently transitioning from 6 to 5 mgs so I don't think I am even officially classed as immunocompromised. Question is has annyone else had or been offered a fifth jab?

This was discussed yesterday -there seems to be some confusion (no surprise there then) -

I’m having my 5th jab this coming Saturday. I queried it and was told it’s because I’m immune suppressant!!

I hope to hold off on 5th vaccination in hope the Moderna Omicron-specific bivalent booster candidate, mRNA-1273.214. will be available in the fall. The company is in clinical trials. My 2nd booster was end of February. I live in rural New York State,USA. Covid is surging again in our state.

That’s a relief to hear! I hadn’t taken on board that as being a side effect of pred! My arms look awful! Little bruises on both upper arms. Just when warm weather coming and arms can be seen! Moisturiser obviously☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

I had my 5th jab on the 1st April (Moderna) didn’t feel so ill after it this time but have had a flare and had to increase my Pred, slowly coming back down now.

I have talked to my GP about it. He said that I am not immunocompromised and that my immuniastion status is "optimal" and therefore I don't need a fifth jab. He said that there would be an Autumn booster and that I would be contacted then if required. I think that I will keep my up and coming fifth jab but put it back to October (six months after my fourth jab) as "insurance".

It isn't NOW that matters - it is the status you had at the time of the first 2 jabs. Something a lot of GPs seem to misunderstand.

have had a message from my GP to say I am on the list for a fifth jab, not to phone in but I will have an appointment this month , so we will see.

When I had my first two jabs I didn't have PMR - it was the second jab that caused it!! There are now three men from my golf society (of about 70 members) who all have it and in all cases it developed after a jab. A lady from further up the drive I live in also developed it - again after a jab. None of us had even heard of it before!!

I had my 5th vaccine today. I wondered whether I should leave it a bit longer (4th one was on 17thJanuary). I’m going to have rotator cuff surgery in the next couple of months and wanted to boost my immunity for that. I logged on to the NHS website and booked it in there.

I wish! Not even a 4th jab here (on 3 1/2 mg but struggling and may need to up the dose). But as a consolation prize I got my 2nd Shingrix today. I’m aware I’ve been jabbed.

I just remembered when I had covid and was trying to see if I could have the antiviral drug the doctor told me I was not classed as immunocompromised as I am only taking 5mg pred, and 20mg of methotrexate so I was not eligible for it.

It is six months since I last had my fourth vaccine and, with having had covid three weeks ago I wonder if that is why I have not been offered another vaccine

Yes, I've had the 5th one. Moderna this time so Ive had a full house with AZ to start then a Pfizer booster.

I was on about 12mg pred and MTX for initial course hence the extras.
