Yet another jab?

I had my fifth covid jab on the 23rd of July this year and have just been invited for another one. It seems a bit too soon and wondered what the thinking was on here?

Hi, Griggser. I also had my fifth jab in July and have recently been contacted to make an appointment for my sixth. I've read here that a six month interval will allow for greater protection so I'm hanging on till early December.

Thanks for your reply and like you I plan to wait until early December when I get back from a long overdue holiday.

Hi, me too & I haven’t jumped in feet first. It seems a bit soon & I had Covid last month so hopefully some immunity. Maybe December makes more sense. Look forward to some informed info. Glad to hear you are getting away! 😎

Just so you know we’ve now moved Thornbury, Bristol to be nearer family😃 Been here a week and it’s been full on but I’m coping ok at the moment. The Post Herpetic neuralgia continues to be a nuisance though.

Where were you before?

in Cornwall just outside Truro, a small village called Zelah.

So rather less remote! How does the weather compare? Enjoy it. I quite fancied Thornbury but Himself didn't get the job (NHS political situation).

It’s warmer in the summer and colder in the winter probably a bit drier too.

Hi from just down the A38 in Almondsbury!

When I first moved here from Hampshire via London, my main observation on the weather was “greyer”: not necessarily wetter nor colder, but cloudy. I blame the Severn estuary!

Enjoy new home and being nearer to family, but just ease up on the "been full on” as soon as possible....🌸

Hi again, thanks for letting us know. That must have been quite an effort for you. Moving house & area is quite something! All the best Brian. So you will have a new GP, consultants etc? As to the climate …. I’m sure you won’t miss mornings like this, very damp & “Cornish” today. Good to be near the family too. Take care & keep in touch.

Everything happened in a rush. We exchanged contracts on a Thursday and moved on the following Monday!

In England maybe - happens often enough in Scotland!!

Definitely in England, crazy system 😩

You can say that again! We bought a flat in Scotland for our daughter after her marriage breakdown - it had been renovated and was in move-in condition and empty. I'm sure it was under a month from putting in the offer to getting the keys. The contract is agreed with acceptance of the offer - difficult to gazump or back out without warning! On the other hand - you can set a long completion date if you need it but know you are safe. Buying in England terrified me!

Me too (but for my 5th). I am going to have it when 5 months are up which is next Monday. I will probably be on a 12 month cycle next year which I would prefer.

Here they say a minimum of 4 months between jabs - so if I were you I'd make the appointment for December at the earliest.
