We celebrated our annual Thanksgiving Holiday here in the US last month, and I celebrated a personal victory in being able to complete a 5K race in Cocoa Beach Florida that day. From a person who was accustomed to running about 40 miles a week on roads or trails to someone who could hardly walk a mile with the PMR crap, I'm happy and thankful. It was no where near my best time, but that doesn't matter. It took right at an hour but I still didn't come in last, and there were several younger folks behind me. To God be the glory!

Good for you!!! I love getting out myself, currently walking 4-5 miles (6-8K) a day. That is an advantage of GCA I guess, able to walk 🤷♀️.
Excellent - seriously impressed (and encouraged!)
Well done CrazyRunner - that’s a serious achievement 💪 Thanks for the inspiration too 😊
You are an inspiration!
Well done, it must give you a really good feeling to have competed once again. Whatever the weather I'm lucky that I can get out every day with the dogs and would really miss it if I couldn't.
Well done, thats great to hear , you should be proud !
Amen!
Well done you for even attempting the race - I have struggled to walk at times never mind run a 5k race. Well done ! 👏
You go CrazyRunner, that's wonderful!!! I am playing pickleball and walking 2 miles most days but I'm still on 5 mg of prednisone.
Great! Go for it! I've just been scaled down to 5 mg. We'll see how it goes
