Fasting 10 hours before blood test.

I’m due for a blood test tomorrow morning at 8 am and should fast for 10 hours beforehand. I take pred at 2am with yoghurt, which means by 8 am, I have fasted for only 6 hours. I was thinking of omitting the yoghurt this one time when I take my 6 mg this evening. Is this advisable or should I just book the blood test for 12 midday tomorrow instead?

Rebooking would solve the problem. I always book for the afternoon if it is fasting.

Depends what it is for - some things are time dependent too.

However - taking your pred once with a large glass of water will be fine

You could take Pred with yoghurt at 10 pm the night before. I only say this because I now have stomach pain if I don’t line my stomach. If it doesn’t cover the period you could take a little more with food after the blood test and have a specially good day.

I would probably just wait until after the appointment and take it late if you can manage it.
