Lymphedema Compression Suit

Is this common in the UK? This is the suit the Lymphedema Therapy Department ordered for me. I wear this for an hour each day, every day, unless I have a hands-on therapy session. It is attached to a compressor and massages me from rib cage to toe, up and down twice. It has made an incredible difference as far as being able to sit with my legs downward...PLUS...keeps the swelling down. I do wear a heavier compression hose than before too.

My health insurance here in the states is good. Sad to say but someone whose coverage is not as good would not get this.

I thought some might find this interesting....MICHELIN MARILYN....check out the moon face....Prednisone face job, wrinkles to follow.πŸ’–

You look great, much younger than your numerical age. I have never come across this decompression and massage machine. I hope it carries on working.

No never heard of this, are you getting relief from it.... I imagine it must be quite soothing. Wouldn’t mind one myself!

Tremendous relief, 123mossie!! My legs were swollen and weeping. Recently I've had to increase my prednisone. One thing for sure, I go to the bathroom before....and right after. It really is effective and I usually fall asleep. 😴😴

You look happy and it’s obviously working for you. Never seen this before. Happy birthday for Friday! πŸ’

Beats paying £50 for a full body massage which is the only thing I can access like this for joint relief. Is there room for two.? 🀣

You’d think our local hospitals would offer a hiring service of such a fabulous device!

Such a happy relaxed face. When I saw it I found myself smiling back at you. Glad you’re getting relief. Happy birthday. My best. πŸ€—

Tehe - I think I prefer the young gentleman who did manual lymph drainage for me! It was almost as good as a massage into the bargain ...

Prior to covid we drove from Cambridgeshire to lake Como each year for our summer holidays (the past ten years). We love the mountain pass drives and everything about it. If my leg allows lots of hill walking we’ll go again next year. Hubby’s been learning Italian. I only need him to say β€˜ my wife would like two starters served at the same time as my main course please β€˜ and we are sorted 🍝

It is warm and sometimes I keep a fan running....but most of the time I fall asleep and wake about 30 minutes after it has stopped. I'll be all wrapped up for winter snow!β˜ƒβ„

My real question is..... how quickly can you get out if you need a wee?

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜You definitely want to go before...and with practice and assistance (you need help), you can be out of it in three minutes. You DEFINITELY need to use the loo afterward......that means it is working. I'm getting more British by the minute. πŸ’–
