Stressful

So I had an appointment with my consultant yesterday and advised to go back to 15mg. I also had another ct scan which has shown enlarged lymph nodes around my stomach and pancreas and thickening of my stomach which could be a tumour. So he is fast tracking a endoscopy and biopsy 🙁 You go see the doc for a stubbed toe and end up with lord knows what……think that’s why I’ve avoided the doctors for years. My mum died of pancreatic cancer so I have to admit I’m somewhat anxious

Oh yuck, that sinking feeling inside and then the interminable wait. I do hope whatever comes next runs smooth. 💐

I’m trying not to stress too much as until they do the tests we don’t really know what it is. If it turns out it is something then I’m hopeful that’s it’s early as there was no signs on my previous ct scan which was 2 months ago. Having PMR is stressful enough without other things thrown into the mix ….but nothing to do but stay positive and take each day as it comes

Good approach to take, I know it’s easy to say, but worrying about what might or might not happen is pointless…....and as you say if it’s caught early then hopefully it can be treated successfully….fingers crossed.

Still feeling pretty sore and very achy but I was late with my meds yesterday due to traveling back from the hospital. I’ve taken an extra 2.5mg this morning so hopefully that helps. I’m sure the traveling and having my arms above my head for the ct scan really haven’t helped 😢. My gp phoned me as soon as I was home yesterday having heard from the consultant and she has been great, she’s advised that I don’t even think about returning to work until everything has been resolved and said I can contact her at any point.I’m going to hobble over the road today and have lunch out with a friend 🙂
