what a conundrum! Is it PMR or NOT

Recently I had aT9 fracture, pelvic fracture and a labral hip tear. No injuries, just stress fractures from osteoporosis resulting from a 5 &1/2 year prednisone use averaging about 15mg daily.

I received a hip/groin steroid shot under fluoroscopy . It has been 6 days and not a lot of relief is being felt. They said it could take up to 10 days.

I am also on fosomax 10mg daily. I decided to go off of it for a few days and see if that changes anything. It has been 2 days since stopping it.

I have been suffering with painful stiff hips for a week and it is really debilitating.

Having a Hard time figuring it out. Could it be side effect from shot, side effect from fosomax I started some cbd with a little thc in it, could it be that?

None of it makes sense to me.

This morning it occurred to me that maybe it is a pmr flare. Not sure why I would be having one, especially since I just had a steroid shot. I don't know what else to do so I took 1&1/2 mg more pred. this morning to see if it will help. It is has been a little over an hour since taking the extra pred and I don't see any relief. For me, relief comes fairly quickly after taking extra prednisone.

Not sure what I can possibly do now?? It is beyond frustrating and I am weary of the pain and fatigue.

I'm sorry you didn't get any replies here. My use of HU is a bit scattershot so I probably miss most posts unless they become part of a discussion. Has there been any relief of the pain? Also I know quite a few people post that alendronic acid does make their bones hurt. Have you posted at all on the bone health forums? There is an American Bone Health community, but the British one, simply called Bone Health, has more members, so perhaps worth signing up to both of them if you haven't already?
