Hello everyone, I think I mentioned a few months ago how bad I dropped down when the weather got cold and I think I tapered too soon from 30 mg in June then tried to get down to 5 mg in November last year. I will never do that again. I spoke to my GP and went back up to 8 mg but when the warm weather came I just wanted to try and experiment. I have been on 7 mg for the last 4 weeks, and feel good, I am in England so it's not always great but we are having some nice weather which seems to be helping me. I do think that the warmer weather helps me. Love and best wishes to you all going through this. xxx

For anyone with PMR or GCA - 30mg in June to 5mg in November is almost certainly too fast!
I noted an improvement after falling asleep in the sunshine. Although the sun’s rays are not supposed to be at the right angle til May, I felt much better the following day. PMR Pro told me that vit D production is reduced when you are older and always better in sunshine than tablet form. So could be that in addition to the warmth.
