Hi, I am now on half a mg of pred and feeling better than I have done for 2 years or so; however for the last couple of weeks ( not sure if every night- will make a note in diary) I have woken up with pain in my upper right arm. It goes once I stretch and rub the muscle.
When I first got PMR it started with pain in both muscles in upper arms and if I can rightly remember was a similar pain but more intense. It took 3 and a half months for a diagnosis at that time and my CRP was 91 ( don't know if that was a record - but not sure I want it! ) My recent CRP test outcome was 10, I think 12 months before CRP was 12.
I know PMR is very variable and we are all different. I have slowly been increasing my activities over recent months in an effort to strengthen bones and come off AA. Started with adult ballet class, then swimming and recently yoga. My feeling is to just keep this as they are and only up Pred if anything changes. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thank you.

Sounds more like how you have slept to be honest. But at such a low dose no need to hurry - I would wait and see if it worsens at all. Iget odd bicep pains - definitely not due to PMR, the Actemra is taking care of that!
Thanks DorsetLady, I will try a change of pillow and see if that improves it. I am waiting for a repair on central heating so its also hot water bottles at the moment. Nippy! x
Have you had a recent Covid and or flu jab? I seem to have twinges of pain in my upper arm. My Covid jab was done painfully and clumsily. I was assuming a minor injury. Homoeopathy helps this sort of thing Arnica maybe?
Yes had a Covid jab 3 weeks ago but the chemist was so skilled at it I wasn't sure the needle had gone in so I don't think it was that. However the previous covid jab throbbed so much afterwards it felt like a kick from a camel! Hope your arm feels better soon.🌸
Seedy is a good word for it. I can empathise. I have periodic tiredness and feeling low. Think reducing the pred is aggrevated by the cold dark days. I need to get some more sparkly lights out.🐧
