So I was diagnosed with H Pylori a few months back now, I have been given, two courses of antibiotics, the doctor says it can take a while to clear up and some traces may remain, anyway I have severe stomach acid, (wind), and pains in my stomach, the doctor has prescribed me, Armitripyline, Omeprazole and IBS tablets, anyone else had a similar experience, should I go private for a second opinion, thank you

Did the wind etc start after taking the omeprazole? It's a common side effect.

Hi.Cupcakes 21. I don't have H.Pylori but had taken Omeprazole as a stomach protector as taking Prednisolone. However, I too found it gassy. ..moved on to Famotadine which has also the advantage of only taken once a day. If it give you peace of mind, ask for second opinion.Good luck take care.
