Pains in upper L/h side of stomach

For the past week I have sort of burning pains on the left hand side of my belly button. Tomorrow I'm at my GP and hope it's only a pulled muscle. 🙏

I did a bit of research on 'Dr Google' and it seems that

Prednisone can affect the pancreas, causing pancreatitis...

Has anyone else suffered tummy pains since taking Prednisone?

Certainly! I have a sharp dragging pain in my lower right abdomen, from time to time. My GP said there was no “ mass” there and kind of dismissed it. I think the digestive system can be a bit upset by Prednisalone. Like you, I hope it is not lasting damage.

I'm sure it's Prednisone related, I'll know tomorrow ...

I do follow your advice regarding

taking the prednisone at night with yogurt.

Until now everything has been great. 👍

I do feel a little anxious 😩, but what will be will be.

No Yulik can't say I've had tummy pains like the ones you describe near the belly button. Had groin pain which comes and goes. Could be you do have a pulled muscle - it it doesn't settle within the week need to see your GP. Best wishes.

I do get occasional pain in my left side at about waist line ( I have to be approximate about where my waist line is since pred!) It usually comes intermittently for a couple of days and then fades again. Have never asked GP about it.
