Breast pain and steroids

Hi everyone I am new here and find this site so helpful. I have PMR and GCA since 2018 taking 5 MGM’s prednisilone at the moment and have recently developed sore breasts. I am 71 has anyone had a similar problem?

Hello, is it actually sore breast tissue or sore underneath on the chest wall?

Is it evenly distributed and across both?

Greater on the left side.

As SJ says, it is well worth a chat to the doc because it is new, but rib related chest pain seems to crop up often and can refer to the softer tissues.

Yes, to the extent that I couldn’t wear underwired bras. I moved on to stretchy one piece bralettes with no fastenings.Costochondritis is an inflammation in the tissue that supports the ribs - this painful condition can occur, with PMR. Rest and warmth seems to help and over the counter analgesics.

Mention the breast pain to your doctor. I always thought that mine was PMR related.
