As some of you may have seen, our deputy chair, Dorothy Byrne, wrote an article for The Guardian this week about medical treatment of older people during the pandemic.

Dorothy is now looking to write another piece about the difficulties faced getting doctors appointments, blood tests and so on. Many of you have posted about such difficulties so if you have a story to tell about this, are UK based and would like to help, please can you message me with details and an email address we can contact you on.

At the moment this is just a provisional piece, most likely for The Daily Mail, but do get in touch if you would like to help. Thank you.

Here's a link to this week's piece in The Guardian theguardian.com/commentisfr...

A great article. Getting treatment on the NHS these days seems to be a bit of a postcode lottery. My elderly parents are managing to get various tests done where they live in Chorley, but here in Leeds it's virtually impossible to get anything done.
