Does anyone know the names of the research papers which inform us that PMR is now known to frequently last for 4-6 years instead of 2 years as previously believed? Quoting a medical research paper that can be looked up, might be a more effective influence on some of our doubting or disbelieving doctors.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope - the usual riposte tends to be "it's only one paper"! On the other hand - one paper that suggested methotrexate might help reduce pred dose was enough for them to push it! The follow-up paper there found that while the dose was reduced, the pred-associated side effects were not. A fact that is rarely mentioned ...
