Four weeks at club zero and no more Afib issues

Hello all! I just wanted to check back in since my last update after stopping opiates three months ago, landing in the hospital with flu and Afib and a pulse of 194. I got to a cardiologist. Passed my stress test with flying colors, in fact my heart is in great shape. I’m taking a heart drug now but will likely taper off of it carefully to make sure the Afib is truly gone or just well controlled. After many attempts of tapering prednisone I finally got to zero for more than a few days. It’s been weeks now. I feel great. No signs of PMR or GCA. I hope and pray it stays this way. I had been close many times but always flared within a week or so. This time feels different, like It’s just settled down. The same thing happened to my mother. She had PMR for a very long time as well. When it left her, it never returned. I could only be so fortunate. ❤️

Great news!

Just keep Pacing Yourself as you were before you got Pred Free for a few months during this Recovery Phase for both of your conditions , then gradually build in new activities in the months after and it will help you avoid a Flare up of any Pain or Post Illness side effects.

Keep letting us know how you go xx
