Hello all I'm hoping I've done this right today and created my own page as without Mark help yesterday my post wouldn't have been on any page...think I caused an awful lot of confusion for some (welcome to my world 😲).Thank you Mark for helping me out and also D/L for giving me advice on how to do my post..much appreciated..and all the lovely encouraging responses I received to stay in Club Zero...(now let's see if I've done this right...😏)

πŸ˜… phew, when I read the headline I thought your zero pred had gone wrong. Glad to see I'm wrong. Well done for your successful post. Loved post via MB too.

thank you Hollyseden...yes reading my heading again I can see now how it would look like to like that (like this past three years I'm used to my new behaviourπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ pred head) appreciate your encouraging comments.

Ah pred head. We all know about that pesky thing. Counting blessings though, makes me forgetful so I forget some of the *#@" this lurgy brings, even if only for a wee while πŸ‘ Keep well

Don't know how we could manage without it and a lot of us would have liked to have found it from day one...but better late than never😊

I was really lucky that when I was 'finally' diagnosed, my doctor actually suggested I take a look at this forum. How enlightened is she! I think she may have read some stuff on it too. Only blip was when she wanted me on allendronic acid. Still up for debate on that one. πŸ™„

Aw the Aldric Acid dilema...Jan 15 started on 60mg Pred for GCA . May asked to go on AA by rhumi (just in case) to protect bones against future OA. Didn't know enough then and agreed but didn't get appointment for first scan till Dec 15.carried on taking AA till March 17 when by then had researcher it more through reading this forum and decided to stop. Had 2nd Deta scan recently and will find out results. But doubt I'll go back on AA (should only take it for 2yrs anyway) read that somewhere on the forum. Sure you'll make the right choice for you eventually.

Just be taking your D3, K2 and eating a good diet. And appropriate exercise. All ever so much better for you than AA and its kin.

yes agree...have taken D3 since beginning and will carry on..was on 5/2 plan when started with GCA so was able to manage any weight gain only gaining about 3lbs in last 3yrs. Walking/Swimming fell back a bit over the 3 yrs but getting there again now.
