Ambassadors are very knowledgeable members of the forum who we trust to give excellent advice but dont have the ability to restrict, delete etc. YBB

Good to know. I had assumed, like on many forums, that Ambassadors were the ones that posted more than anyone else. So it's Moderator and Ambassador posts that we should pay attention to for accurate advice? Guess I should have figured that out, as sometimes I see info/advice from others that seems "interesting", to put it politely. Thank you to all Ambassadors for their valuable advice!

There are lots of members here who are knowledgeable. Many have been round a long time and a couple since it's inception. The issues of tapering and symptoms are pretty much disseminated to long term members now. 🌻
I didnt mean to imply that all other members advice isnt correct or valid but just that our ambassadors, vokunteers and moderators advice is given on behalf of HU and pmrgcauk and therefore needs to be correct, reliable and consistant. They will have researched any papers and links that they provide rather than just provide links to unread books or papers that need more investigation to see if it is relevant for the forum. We also have some very knowledgable long time members whos experience and advice is invaluable to the forum. I hope this helps clear.things for people who are new to the forum and also for those who have been on the forum for years but never realised what the titles meant.

I did and I heard him cry. I know they said he has a 50% chance of living. Fingers crossed. There are so many who have been killed in the awful Bush fires. My daughter lives in central Sydney and the other day she was going to work and the smoke affected her breathing so much she turned round and went home. She doesn’t have chest problems usually so I can imagine how much of a struggle it would be in the areas closer to the fires.
The government need to do more in Australia or before long the only koalas will be in zoos.
But well done to you on becoming a moderator.

It must be nightmare for the asthma sufferers. I don't know where I am a celeb is filmed but noticed tbey have gas rings for cooking rather than open fires.

I'm afraid I still have a bad back and it's taking a long time to get better. I had to get some stronger painkillers from the doctors and need to use a stick. It is slowly improving though. It's frustrating because I think, apart from the back, I do have more energy and I thought I could start cooking more interesting meals and not rely quite so much on ready meals.
I'll think twice before trying any more housework though 😁😁

Feeling better but can't do much. Drawing and sketching, and sharing funny sketches with kids/gkids online keeps me more upbeat. Hope your day is great.

Thank you. It disappeared down to 48 and is now back at 54. I'm really annoyed. Grrrrrrr. We went on a cruise last month and I did overeat a bit but not that much. I am 5'8" and 170lbs with a 34 inch waist.
I have reduced pred from 80 down to 13 but had to go back up to 30 due to a chest infection. Back down to 13 today.

That's not too bad with the cruise and higher doses thrown in. Hopefully it'll be a downward trend as you go down. My one before last was 54 which I got praise for (!). My last one was 45 due to a tummy problem, so don't recommend that as a way forward! 48 was my pre pred level. You are doing well so take it very, very slowly now. 👍😁
Ps. I forgot I left my Xmas pudding woolly hat at my sisters. Not many days you can wear a flashing Xmas pud.

Oh yes...and my doctor is very interested, too...he wrote the name of the forum down during our discussions! Perhaps he wants to see how it’s run, but maybe he wants to give the name to new patients he diagnoses? He said he was impressed by how much I’d learned in just a couple of weeks! Win:win situation, I think!

For some reason my HU emails are going into Spam now.
Look at your email settings - mine has one at the top of the spam page to say "Not spam" which only shows when you have the cursor over it. Sometimes you catch the Spam button instead of the delete button and once an email from a source has been labelled spam, everything else from the source follows it. It happens randomly too but the usual reason for me is one got wrongly marked.
