As you are all probably aware the forum has been busy recruiting and training new Moderators . We have all been busy in the background over the last few weeks and as of yesterday we completed our training and are actively moderating the site.
The new Moderators are Pmrpro, MrsNails, Dovelady and myself, Yellowbluebell. We are looking forward to helping the site grow and move forward.

Thank you to all of you for taking on this role. This site provides invaluable support and information for people with PMR and GCA. I am so grateful to have found it.
Congratulations to all the new moderators. Many thanks for your helpful posts/replies in the past and, as I'm sure, in the future.
Your replies always contain useful information, and one feels comfortable approaching this forum's moderators for much needed advice. Especially as (unfortunately....) you speak from experience.
Thanks for your contributions in this capacity. I can appreciate that this new role may not always be easy, nor may you win the “popularity award” while following and enforcing guidelines to such a huge number of people on an online forum. Glad you are in numbers to take on this task.
Thank You PMRCanada, the Forum is very important to us all & we want to try to maintain its integrity covering all aspects of these conditions called PMR/GCA
We have all dedicated a lot of our time these last weeks in preparing for the role & completed our training yesterday with Health Unlocked Team.
Thanking everyone for their valuable input in the past & to our future success in continuing to help everyone with the Journey with PMR/GCA
Thanks to all the new moderators. I am fairly new to the site and to PMR and have found solid, practical information here. You are all a wonderful resource.
Thank you ,I cannot add to the previous posts ,just to say thank you, especially to PMR pro who has always given help ,support and good information on this forum.
From past experience on this helpful pmr forum, l see we are now in very capable hands ..
Thanks so much, for giving us your very precious free time, to help individuals such as myself, to get through the various stages of PMR (and in some cases GCA )
It's greatly appreciated what you have volunteered to do for us, and I sincerely wish you wonderful ladies a healthy future, painfree and fully recuperated.
Don't reply as much as I should but I read this forum every day and it helps to know that I am not alone with PMR and struggling with weight. Thank you moderators for a fantastic job xx
Thank you all for being prepared to giving us your time to support and help the members on this amazing forum, which I have found over the last three years to be invaluable in helping me cope with GCA.
Thanks to you all for the time and energy you are putting into the Forum on our behalf. I've already noticed the difference while you've been in the background, training!
Congratulations to our new moderators.... Thank you for giving so freely of your time .... Also thank you to PMRpro for her practical advice and wealth of knowledge.... Much appreciated.. Good luck ladies.... Regards, Lena
These four have been (practically) moderators already for as long as I’ve been on this forum - now they get the title to go with it. I’m guessing NOT the big bucks, though!
Thanks for your endless patience and compassion for newbies and old timers alike.
We WILL get through this, thanks to you and this forum!
Congrats to the new moderators. Thank you all for your commitment and continuous support. I don’t post very often but read posts everyday. I have learnt everything I know about pmr from this forum. So glad I found you. 💕
Great to see some regular contributors have been rewarded. I posted a minor story 2-3 weeks ago, about tapering down to 1mg of pred. I was advised (in my replies) to contact my GP and Rhuemy Dept. The rheumy department was an answer phone, message left but no reply since ! My GP rang me back the same day and was interested in my problem, she was positive about me increasing my pred up to 2 or 3mgs, which ever suited me the best. She mentioned tapering, so I jumped in with DSNS ( from this site, PMRpro), she was impressed ! So I told her about this web site and all the info and help that is generated, the book written by Kate Gilbert, it sounded like she was interested.
A lot of people taper down successfully with pmrpro's plan. It's always nice to hear from people who have found a good gp. Good luck with your tapering.
Congratulations - thanks and best wishes to all the new Moderators - your generosity, knowledge, input and involvement is very much appreciated by myself and everyone here!!
Welcome to the new Moderators and of course to PMRpro, thank you for continuing in this demanding role.
When feeling poorly and vulnerable it's so reassuring to have this forum for insight and advice for what often feels to sometimes be a very misunderstood and isolated condition, often when first diagnosed we haven't even heard of it!
It really feels like a life- line - well it has to me.
So thank you for all your time that you freely give.
