I am having surgery on my eyelids beginning in 2 weeks, they droop so much they are restricting my vision, so I qualify for this on the NHS.
This will be followed by cataract replacement in the new year. My eyes have certainly deteriorated over the 3 years I've had PMR. Though being nearly 70 I'm told it's age related.
I've read on here to avoid being given steroid drops after surgery, is that correct. I'm stuck at 7 mg press.

Why? I can't remember ever noticing that being said - and topical steroids are used alongside oral doses when required. It is entirely up to your eye surgeon and whether they think they are required.
Good luck with your surgeries. It’s good you can get the eyelid one on the NHS. A lot of us would benefit from it cosmetically but if it’s restricting your vision, then I understand why you are a priority. My eyesight has also deteriorated with PMR and steroid use over the almost 4 years I have been diagnosed. I guess I’ve aged too. It gets very expensive.
