Difficult Days

Just found this little gem on Facebook. I am having some pretty difficult days at present but I know that I am not alone. This really cheered me up.

Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right.

It's the little things that count. Managed to get dressed for the day, now to get the energy to go for a short outing.

I went out for a late walk this evening. Spectacular sunset over the harbour.

And here we all are - a gathering of Poohs and Piglets.

Time and distance may separate us, but we are still good friends, keeping each other company on good days and bad...

Have you looked at 'The Invisible Challenge' on Facebook. So many of the sayings and sentiments on there are true of people like us battling chronic illnesses. Fibro is sometimes mentioned but have never seen PMR mentioned.

Perfect, I had a really grim day yesterday, sat in a chair for nearly six hours without saying a word as head & body all hurt so much, and my wonderful OH just brought me cups of tea and supper, and just left me alone to recover. He loved being likened to Piglet!
