I am worse on cold, wet days. I think my Osteoarthritis joins the party too. I had much less pain and stiffness in a hot humid climate in April this year.

Thank you, all those replies are immensely comforting!!

For me hot or cold humidity makes for an uncomfortable day.

For me too!

Do you get high humidity there constance? It's got much worse here in the past 10yrs or so. It takes a month of no rain to dry the atmosphere. Otherwise on hot days for me it's like trying to breathe in a sauna.

Yup!

I have always been susceptible to weather change too (I used to faint at assembly in school - even at 7 years old!! A male teacher always stood behind me! I was the only one that was allowed to sit (unheard of in assembly)!

Humidity is about the same as in England. Last year wasn't so bad as this year.🥴 Wish I could emigrate to a place where it is always Spring.😂

I can't fault that wish! Spring and autumn are my time for different reasons.

I was surprised to feel better. Perhaps my body always being warm, like wrapped in warm damp bandages 😊 helped the stiffness. This disease is a mystery.

So true. It has just enough idiosyncrancies to confuse!

I think whatever illness you have you invariably feel it more on cold days.

Just a comment -“manage mostly on 0.5mg” - at such a small dose why just “manage” - when maybe just another 0.5mg might makes things much better! Why struggle when there’s no need.

Thanks, I have taken some more prednisone now . I think my pmr gets worse with the change of winter weather, if it gets cold and wet all of a sudden. I have to do what most of you people advise, and do, take some more prednisone and try to be not quite so rigid.....😉🌞😊

Listen to your body. That doesn’t mean yo-yoing up and down all the time - but a little extra for a while may help. As I said on such low doses - it’s doing you more good than harm!

I find cool, wet and windy weather can be bad, Dry cold is OK - however cold - and hot but humid can be bad but not always.
