Thank you to everyone who answered my recent post. I saw GP on Tuesday who was very helpful and listened to my list of symptoms. First I have to have a fasting blood test (first available appointment 26 June) and have liver, kidneys, pmr, thyroid etc all checked. Secondly he mentioned Obstructive sleep apnoea although he said I was not "the typical big bellied overweight lorry driver" would I be willing to be checked out at the hospital as this can cause poor quality sleep and tiredness. My OH was with me and told GP that I do sometimes wake up snorting and gasping. I am also having urine test as I think I might have yet another infection.
I checked with surgery the vaccine used for shingles jab and was told it was Live so cancelled last weeks appointment. I mentioned this to GP and he said only 1% live so it would be ok so am having this in July.
When I mentioned adrenals test he said they would be fine as I started on 15mg and was on 1mg now.
Will keep you posted.

There I was thinking how well your GP was doing. Then he said your adrenals would be fine. Unless he has extrasensory powers he can't know! Yes, it is fair enough to think if you are on 1mg and feel OK you are fine. But one lady got to 2mg and felt great - but the endocrinologist found she had no reserve adrenal function at all.
Sorry I did reply to your post, it seems to have got lost in the ether! I decided to see what if anything the blood tests throw up and then mention adrenals again if I still feel the same. He was very positive when I told him I had refused another infusion for my osteoporosis and discussed vitK2 etc when I was expecting the reverse reaction.
First one to be sent for Shingles vaccine that I’ve heard of, but I’m fairly new to this. Mine said no as well as many others. Why chance it? Hmmm...
Thanks for your reply. It really is difficult to know what is best but the GP seems very sympathetic so I decided to go along with his advice. If you don’t hear anything from me then you will know I have had no adverse effects !
