Seem to be having a pain free time...

I’m almost afraid to say it, but the stress fracture pain from the bilateral sacral fractures...not sciatica after all...has settled down, PMR quiet, 20 mg. Prednisone and Leflumonide and the other 900 pills are making life good right now. I will have a bone survey this week since I do have Bence Jones MGUS just to make sure something isn’t hiding behind the stress fractures like MM. Computer was gone; now it is back. Positive thoughts to all who are not having a good time! This is a wonderful outlet. Thank you.

Perhaps you have hit the magic mix? I would be very reluctant to change anything for a month or so. Good luck with your Bone marrow test is it? Keep in touch with us.

Glad to hear that you are feeling good. 🌷

MM is multiple myeloma, heaven forbid. I have the "markers" for it and have had it checked by oncologist for over 5 years, the dreaded M spike. so far, I have been good. It would be the last straw to see that heaped on PMR. Even feeling good, This "brain fog" is real, isn't it? As the director at our museum, I find it more and more difficult to stay abreast of all of the challenges working with volunteers and programs, etc. So far, if i get good days like this, I'll keep going. I am a bit concerned over the negative response on the site for leflumonide since my dr. seems to want to eventually get the prednisone down and gone and treat with that Lefl. She is a quite well-respected rheumatologist, so I"ll go with her direction for now. Guess it is a toss-up: 3 stress fractures vs. prednisone. I had no issues prior to the steroid and it's only been 8 months on it.

You will see that my “ very real” brain fog lifted and I remembered that the MM stood for multiple myeloma,in your case and edited my post. Your job sounds so interesting! I have read positive posts about Leflumonide too. Most of us who post do have something that is not working, so we can get a biased view. Perhaps many folk are sailing through obeying medical advice. I am having to decide about drugs too. Perhaps give it a shot. I think I will although I am down to 5 mgs but after 3+ years of Pred and good Dexa scans. Fingers crossed for you.

You are doing incredibly well, managing others despite Brain Fog , you are amazing.

I agree you hear alot of negatives to many drugs , most of them about the Pred , yet we still use it because it works.

You have the right attitude , as long as you are informed on the positives as well as the negatives , if it may work for you with your individual health needs it is worth trying it.

What can be poison for some can be the magic key for others.

Like Pred , in certain circumstances , drugs of any type can become a necessary evil to maintain our quality of life.

900 pills !😂😂😂😂
