Hi everyone, sorry not been writing even though I do follow you all.

I once again had been in a dark place, health up and down flares, now e.coli in my urine which I cannot take antibiotics used to treat it, allergies to 13 of them !! Waiting to see urologist to see what happens next 😤

I have now for the first time in 6 years next month have got down to 6.5mg preds !!!!!

End of the month have another blood test and fingers crossed it will be normal (even though I am not 😂) I do get aches in joints when I get up but think it’s the osteoporosis I have.

Thought I would share this as I am so pleased about this, hope I am not jumping the gun here after sharing 🙂

Love to you all

Margaret x

It’s good to hear about your progress. The UTI’s sound miserable. I seem less prone after being prescribed hormone cream.

Hi Margaret,

Have you ever tried D-Mannose to treat your UTI? It’s a sugar you can get in capsule form. E-coli love sugar so they attach to it and get flushed out . It has worked several times for me so I have avoided antibiotics. It does not work for yeast infections. Pull it up on the internet and read about it. I even travel with it now and at the first hint of trouble take it.

Best to you,

fm

I take it forwardmotion and buy online from Troo Healthcare, best prices and no P&P.

Explore VSL#3 . Worth trying the 10 initial packets.

It's a miserable existence Margaret with UTIs- I relate to the allergies too - good luck with Urology. See forwardmotion's comments re D Mannose, I've started taking them in desperation - much better but still there, considering increasing the dose to 3 daily. Haven't had an infection since on them but still suffer the irritation as if I had one. Seeing urology again - they seem at a loss..Hope you get on okay, let us know.

I also had a lot of UTIs Margaret1951 but started taking D mannose powder in a small amount of water every night before I go to bed. This I’ve been doing over about 18 months and it has certainly helped me. Glad you’re on the mend and have something to celebrate!! Xx
