Sweating Profusely

Following up to my post on Tuesday. I saw my rheumatologist Tuesday and discussed the sweating issue. She wanted to see what the results will be from blood tests taken. I had reduced from 60 mg pred in August to 10mg about a week ago. Her office called me today and said she wants me to increase dosage to 20mg and will reduce much slowly now. They booked an appointment in 2 weeks to see her again. Sed rate was very high.

This didn't come as a surprise to me as PMRpro stated in her opinion it was due to prednisone reduction!! I will update after my visit in 2 weeks.

Good to know that you are hopefully on the right track now. The sweating does have a bit of a mind of its own though. I wish it burned the fat. 😟

I hate to have to say it - told you so!!!! Why on earth can't they listen to what a patient's body is saying sooner?

Ah hah!! PMRpro is correct again. That was a very fast taper, no wonder you’ve been told to increase your pred dose. Here’s hoping 20mg does the trick and results in “drier times” and less discomfort. Please do keep us updated.
