Is it safe to use Cannabis oil when taking Prednisalone

I took it for a couple of weeks and didn't have any problems. The reason I stopped was because I had a consultation with a nutritional therapist and she said that if the pred is controlling pain and stiffness at the moment, the CBD oil wasn't really needed. She suggested I stop CBD just now, then start again when I get in to 'trickier' territory of lower doses of pred.

I'm taking cbd oil a couple of hours apart from the pred just to be safe, even though I take it sublingual and a tiny bit is bound to be swallowed.

Yes, just leave a two hour gap between your regular meds and your CBD. I have been taking CBD for 18 months and have managed to reduce my steroid dose. Everyone is different though.

Thank you for your replies. I wasn' t sure it was safe.

My Rhymy now says as my inflammation is lower from last blood test I am not suffering from PMA anymore even though I am on Prednisalone and Merhatrexate and it is slightly better.

I have not got rid of it.

What on earth is your rheumie talking about? You will not know if your PMR has gone away until you stop taking pred. At the moment the pred is suppressing the symptoms. I am just amazed your rheumie knows so little about both PMR and steroids.

I took cbd oil a few months ago and actually am convinced my symptoms got worse. Not sure why. And maybe in my head and completely coincidental. However I came off it again. Might retry now my diagnosis is different and my meds r changed From pred to methotrexate.

I found at first that I became irritable - but I think this was suppressed anxiety coming out. Since then it has been an absolute life saver. Steroid tapering causes revolting nausea and CBD oil gets rid of that. Also on higher doses I feel more confident and able to cope, It took me a few weeks to work out the best doses but now I find it very helpful.
