Interesting read, particularly reduction of opioids. Might give reassurance for some to try? (Might not help PMR directly, but a good night’s sleep will help, plus any additional aches and pains may reduce?)

Medical Marijuana is not legal everywhere but many people get similar benefits from CBD oil.

The Australian govt has given approval for its cultivation here and the number of growers is increasing, though many doctors are still reluctant to prescribe it.

It is legal to some extent here but it is expensive - and I had a long discussion with the local Pain Clinic specialist. Who says that yes, there is a role. The problem is that many patients come along demanding it - for things for which it is not appropriate. And thereby, probably, hangs a tale ...

Yes, medical marijuana and CBD (hemp) oil are both expensive. Medical marijuana is controlled where it is sold but hemp oil (CBD) is open to any snake oil salesmen. If anyone wants to try CBD they need to do their research.

I live in Oregon. Cannabis is legal. CBD/THC medical cannabis reduces PMR and arthritis pain significantly and is truly a sleeping aid. Should be legalized worldwide. I am 77 yrs. young, on a slow taper down. At 8mgs. No PMR effects. very little discomfort. Planning to be off Prednisone by Christmas. How? Anti-Inflammatory Diet, juicing, supplements, mild exercise, cannabis stress relief and a Positive attitude.
