Good Morning! I am sure most of you received Kathryn Busby's email regarding Saturday's event. She mentioned that registration will open at 11:00 and the program will start promptly at 11:30.
I was wondering if anyone will be in town earlier than 11:00 and would like to meet up for coffee?
If so there is a small coffee shop called "House of Morocco," that is located at 82 Caledonian Rd, London N1 9DN. It's about a 3 minute walk to the venue from there and it appears that if you're walking from Kings Cross or St Pancras, you'll walk right by it.
There is also a Fortnum and Mason Restaurant right in St Pancras Station, which would accommodate more of us...
Let me know if you able to meet up earlier for a coffee and which site you'd prefer.
As you know, my train gets into St Pancras at 10.30 from Sheffield. Any delays will mean that I’ll be lucky to get to the venue on time. As I have to get up at stupid o’clock, I maybe as sociable as a clam. I guess I could poke my head around the door of Fortnum and Mason to see if there is anyone to share a taxi. The venue is a 13 minute walk, the taxi is an 8 minute ride.
I expect Tedski and Mark are in a lush hotel, we could beard him in his den. 🤗
Jane, If no one is available to meet for coffee, I'll meet you and we can share a cab! I get in at 9:30, so I'll have had a Full English and had some Retail Therapy!
Blacked-out stretch limo, all roads into London closed, armed guards at the venue door and level 5 Security. But that's enough about Tedski's travel plans - I'll be coming up on the train in the morning..
Mmm, I'll try if I can Melissa - my train's due in at King's Cross approx. 10.30 but it depends a bit on the actual arrival time. Maybe swap mobile numbers (by PM) in case I have time to spare?
Hi Jane. Yep, it's going to be an enjoyable (but long!) day so I'll jump on a train back to Benjamin Mansions afterwards and relllaxxx - with a glass of the red stuff of course ;-).
Hahahahahaha. I have just responded to YOUR post, they crossed in cyber-space! Regarding this decision, I have more stubbornness than energy. I made up my mind that I wanted to go and I'm going! Come hell or high water! I am freaking out as to how I am going to do this.. but DAMIT, I AM GOING TO DO THIS! I'll pay for it next week....but have a feeling it will be worth it! : )
I predict that you will be fine and you will enjoy yourself. Train travel itself, when you're on the train, not negotiating stations, can be very relaxing, so you have built in restoration time.
Yes, I LOVE travelling by train... and it's a little over an hour from Brighton to St Pancras. It's more the anxiety I worry about... I usually don't get tired, fatigued and that "heavy limb" feeling, until later in the day.
True, there is a lot to be said for adrenaline... as long as it's not in excess! Decaf coffee for me and lot's of deep breathing and mindfulness... I hope I don't too excited meeting Tedski!
Yes I know exactly what you mean. All or most of us have times like that, don't we. I worry about making plans incase they clash with a bad day. If it's a goodish day though, I go ahead and pay the price later. So many times I've called off from things and feel guilty! 😣 Cannot win
PMRGCAuk Christmas cards will be available to buy on the day. You can see the three designs here: pmrgca.co.uk/content/cards

I really don’t know! I have registered with the forum and get the daily digest but other than that, no idea. Btw many many thanks to you for your extremely helpful, factual replies. You have been so reassuring and knowledgeable.
The forum is an add-on and many of us are not members of PMRGCAuk - there is an annual membership fee for that. There are also regional charities - I have always been associated with (but not a paid-up member) the NE of England one which was the first English registered PMRGCA charity, there was already one in Scotland.
I don't know what the situation is now - at one time you had to be a member to attend the AGM/Members day.
Attendance at the AGM section of the day is free of charge, however we request a contribution of £15 towards our Members’ Day venue, buffet lunch and refreshments. You are very welcome to bring friends or family with you. ----->They don’t need to join as members of the charity <------- although we do please ask them to register and we request a contribution of £15 per person towards costs.
Not sure if it means attendees do not have to be members, or guests do not have to be members?
Suuha, I am not sure if you have to be a member.... but if you want to attend, you can attend as a guest of mine. You do have to register and pay a £15 contribution as a Guest...
I imagine Kathryn has sent the email to everyone who has registered for the day. Have a look at the website pmrgca.org.uk for details of registration. It's £15 for lunch and refreshments.
Jealous much.😕 Wish I could be a fly on the wall there to see the faces that go with the names on here. Enjoy the meet up, all of you who manage to go. xx
I don't arrive in Euston until 10.40 and will get a taxi, so probably too late to meet up, shame would love to make contact before the crush.May pop my head, all of it😃 around the door if you are in House of Morocco.
Hi I’d like to meet up first. I could be there Around 10.30: it’s my tablet time so will need a snack. Can you leave a message with the agreed location?
Hi Bamber99, I should be able to tell you where we'll be before Saturday.... it will be one of the two places mentioned above in my post. By the way what is your name?
