Dear Friends, Polymalingerers, GCA Crusaders and Pred Playmates everywhere
Yes, a few of You Lot might have been wondering why I’ve been (q.) ‘Quiet’ recently, and probably heaving a sigh of relief at the same time (and understandably so!).
Ok, so here’s my Latest News:
To satisfy the massive demand from my 5-and-a-half (clearly deranged) ‘Followers’ here, I’ve been working on and am now delighted to announce the imminent publication in Book Form of a compilation of my Witty (allegedly..) Ramblings here over the past couple of years.
With a Foreword by Penny Denby, PMRGCAuk Chair of Trustees, lively illustrations, and the story of my personal PMR Journey and how I became involved with the PMRGCA Community, ‘Write Me Funny - Ramblings On The Lighter Side..’ is intended as an antidote to the important but often more serious books on PMR and GCA. At the same time, just a little of the content comes from my Reflective Side, and based on my other more serious professional 'work' in the Process of Change and Human Development.
Here’s the ‘Heads-up’ on the book for your interest:
Title: ‘Write Me Funny - Ramblings on The Lighter Side of Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis’ - by Mark Benjamin
Format: A5 Paperback, 84 pages with cartoons by Anthony Allen
Content / Style: Humorous alternative to the important but usually more serious publications on PMR and GCA. Please note! ‘Write Me Funny..’ is not a medical book nor does it give professional / health advice - that’s best left to your Doctor and / or the HU forum Aunties (experts) here…

For more information about, and to order ‘Write Me Funny..’ online:

(Important! To protect your Personal Data and Privacy, please DON’T give any private or financial information in a publicly accessible Post or Reply on the PMRGCAuk Health Unlocked forum).
At the same time, I appreciate that some of Us Lot in the PMRGCA Community don’t use the Internet regularly and / or make purchases online. Also, you might just want to get to the front of the Queue for my Silly book out of sheer, pent-up excitement for something Funny (allegedly) to read over the Christmas season after all of the associated Stresses - only joking!.
So, if this applies to you (or perhaps a friend or relative with PMR or GCA?), you can also receive more information about my new book, including UK and International delivered prices and alternative ordering and payment methods.
Either way, if you want more details about the book or want to reserve / order a copy of 'Write Me Funny...' in advance, please get in touch directly by:

I hope that ‘Write Me Funny - Ramblings on The Lighter Side..’ will help you to keep smiling on your PMRGCA Journey in between the Tough Bits. And, of course, in buying my Little Book of Silliness you’ll also be helping to support PMRGCAuk in its valuable work.
So, hopefully, we all get a Result in one way or an other !
Sincere thanks for your friendship and support, and Best Wishes from a fellow (if Slightly Bonkers) PMR Survivor for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas Season and an ongoing recovery - whoever, however and wherever you are right now..
Keep Smiling on the PMRGCA Journey!
