Hi Rose1bud,

Sorry to hear you're still having problems and don't worry about posting again.

I see that when this was first highlighted you were down to 15mg and PMRpro suggested that might be a too low. What dose are you on now?

Foggy head is a Pred side effect, but also can be part of your illness, although the way you describe it does sound more like the Pred predominately in your case. The breathlessness is also Pred related.

You are obviously very worried about things, so think you need to speak to doctor and hopefully get some reassurance.

Hi Rose1bud

Same as you mine starts 1 to 2 hours after taking preds foggy head but wears of as day progresses.

Breathlessness when first starting preds had every test you could think of for my heart but nothing wrong so that put it down to preds .

Did get better on lower dose of preds but had to increase recently and breathless again .

It does get better

Some people who have had this sort of effect after taking pred solved them by taking their pred before bed. Contrary to most doctor's belief, evening pred doesn't always interfere with sleep and at higher doses it makes no difference to adrenal suppression - so if it helps other effects it is worth trying.

I had a foggy head about two hours after taking my Prednisolone and it lasted most of the day - I started on 60mg a year ago and it was not until I got below 15mg that the fogginess went. However when I reduce which I do with the dead slow drop method it sometimes comes back but much less mildly. I sometimes also felt very breathless but my doctor checked me out and told me not to worry, that has also now stopped.

It will get better!
