My left leg is numb down to toes and tingling with a burning sensation. Doctors booked up till end of August and I don't think it classified urgent. Ihave been reducing my steroids gradually and I am now on 8 a day fromlast Septembers 20 a day. Hope someone can suggest what it could be.
I have underactive thyroid and angina.

You don't say if this is a new thing but if it is you need to see a doc today as an urgent, no question. If you don't know the cause someone needs to rule out things that could result in lasting damage or danger. Amongst other things it could be a stop in circulation which needs rapid treatment. it isn't up to a person on the end of a phone to decide whether it is urgent or not unless they are medically qualified, even then at times the patient has to be pushy.
From experience with my late hubby who had angina, would say it could well be related to that, or at least some circulation problem, but as SnazzyD says you need to get it checked.
If you can't get a "normal" appointment before the end of the month then this should classify as urgent. It is, after all is said and done, only the 4th!!!!! I don't imagine that you'd have had an appointment in a shorter time if you'd gone the week before last - and you have done your wait and see and it has got worse. Time for an expert opinion.
There are some serious causes it COULD be - including disc problems or circulation problems. It probably isn't - but neither you nor Snazzy nor I could say. The most likely thing is low back muscle tightness pinching your sciatic nerve - but that needs clarifying. Don't be fobbed off.
I would classify this as urgent if it was happening to me, particularly coupled with Angina. If your doctor won't see you go to Accident and Emergency or the equivalent if you are not in the UK.
