Hoped online request would work but it hasn't, I have to see GP (senior partner) tomorrow to plead my case. Oh dear, dreading it, taking hubby along for support.

Thank you, although I can choose where to go, it looks like the GP can decide not to refer me.

As I understand he then has to justify his decision not to refer you.

Yes I will do that- did it a couple weeks ago when I asked if I should be having blood tests for PMR. It worked, I'm to have bloods every 3 months and yearly for fasting sugar!

FAsting sugar isn't a lot of use - Hba1c is a much better measure of what your BS is doing. And at least 6 monthly.
