Anne, I love your blogs, they are great. You should make them into a book when your PMR goes into remission.
One thing you should not take Ibuprofen with steroids as a rule of thumb, they are counterindicative.
I look forward to your next blog.
Interesting, thank you piglette.
In fact Ibuprofen does not really help PMR but it may help another pain you may have of course.
My Rheumatologist said take it if I need to, but of course if I just pop one or two its not really going to be effective. I have some low dose codeine which I thought I would take if really feeling it after some exercise for example
I take an ibuprofen now and then for my sinus headache pain, which basically shows up when the barometric pressure drops. No fun. And as I taper my pred my osteoarthritis is also being unmasked, reminding me it's still there. Before I was diagnosed with PMR I was confused as to why neither Tylenol or Ibuprofen worked on my new shoulder and hip pains. I found out why, though PMR was not the answer I was looking for at the time :>)
thank you x
