Prednisolone is perfectly safe to take with your BP meds. It is best to take your Prednisolone in the morning with your breakfast, as your body naturally produced its steroids early morning. Hope this helps

I was given mine together in the morning in hospital - so I assume it must be! I never had any problems. I would suggest you swap them round though if you really want to take them separately - by waiting until lunchtime you aren't by any means getting the best out of your pred. The best time to take the pred is as early as possible in the morning as it takes about an hour for the pred to be absorbed so you won't get a great deal of benefit until 2 hours after taking them. A new lot of inflammatory substances is shed in the body every morning, about 4.30am so the sooner you can take the pred in the morning the less stiffness you will suffer. Many people wake early and take their pred and then settle down for another couple of hours before getting up for the day.

If you take vit D and calcium you should leave around three hours between that and the pred otherwise you should be OK.

You can go online to find out what interacts with what.

I take my beta blockers with a glass of water first thing in the morning, then have breakfast and take my prednisolone and aspirin and have had no reaction to this. I've recently had to switch to enteric coated prednisolone because of stomach irritation but don't think this had anything to do with other medication (apart from the aspirin which is already enteric coated). I take the AdCal about 3 hrs later, though I had not been told about this until I discovered this forum and had been taking them in the morning as well.
