Neck tingling

Does anyone get prickly tingling in the back of the neck? Been on 10mg for 7 weeks. Diagnosed in May with PMR. Thanks.

Yes I do also tops of arms

I have done in the past - it was nerves being irritated by spasmed muscles in my shoulders.

Yes, I have, neck and upper arms, just one more side effect of the pred!

Yes. During last year's flare of my GCA I had tingling going from the base of my neck to the top of my head. My GP was sceptical about this being a GCA symptom but his opinion was contradicted by a neurologist . As I have reduced my dose of steroids - now 12.5mg - this has lesssened and I have only the very occasional slight tingle. If your tingling happens regularly it might be worth checking with your GP - if you live in an area where one of these rare species can be seen!

Yes...have had it for some time...also seems to be fatty on the back of the neck and slightly below..was told the Buffalo Hump may be developing....down on 15mg and tingling has gotten better, but still there.

Yes me too with the hump. Presuming side effects and nothing more serious.

Yes, I have had it in the back of the neck, just assumed it was one more weird side effect.!!! Has anyone had pains in hands and wrists? Now down to 7mg pred and all going well but suddenly got pains in hands.

I had hand/wrist and foot pain with PMR which eventually went after several months on pred. Pain at the base of my thumbs is a failsafe indicator of a flare starting from reducing too far.

Some people have complained of hand/wrist pain which has turned out to be OA - pred does also help that pain so reducing will eventually uncover that too.

I get prickly tingling pain in legs and they are red but not hot. dr said it is nothing to do with PMR but it gets me down i just get given anti-biotics
