Prednisolene breathing

I suspect that my pred 15mg is causing my restricted breathing/tight chest, especially in the hours after taking. Is this true?

One not very common side effect of pred is breathing problems - I found this reference recently when someone else asked about it:

njmonline.nl/getpdf.php?t=a...

Most of it isn't too difficult to read so you might find it interesting. It is only one patient - but I've no doubt there are more!

Hi, I also feel quite breathless and heavy chested, wasn't sure if it was the pred or my weight gain. Thanks pmrpro I will also read the article suggested to dubliner1.

Yes, Dubliner1, I still get breathless when walking or being remotely energetic! This is after nearly 3 yrs of PMR/GCA. Now down to 4mg a day of preds. I suppose it could be partly due to the lack of my usual exercise as well; before the problem struck I was very active & do miss that. Thank you, PMRpro, I read the reference.
