Would love to compare symptoms with fellow PMR sufferers, however, I live in Adelaide, South Australia. There doesn't seem to be any support group here.
I have had some relief from six sessions of acapuncture. It's worth a try if you can find a qualified acapunturist.
My biggest problem is lack of energy and inability to walk any distance without feeling as though I have to sit down. Am on 12mg of Prednisolone daily at present; Rheumatologist is reducing the dosage by 1mg monthly. Would love to come off all my medication if I could!
Hi Bev o,
Yes, same problems and have to walk my dogs each day. Luckily the field is very near and being springer spaniels they "work" the hedges and so on a bad day I do not have to walk too far. This is such a miserable complaint, as it takes me 3-4 hours to get reasonably free of the stiffness and pain each morning. I do find though given the willpower and courage to get a hot shower and move around, then walk, however slowly, helps to free me up for the rest of the day. All the best and hope you start a group soon. S
Well there we go..... Moved from Horsham. Nearly a year ago! Have a good time.
