Pudendal Neuralgia. Will the usual kind of mri scan show nerve damage?

Hi I’ve posted before after a pudendal nerve block given by an nhs pain clinic last June made things worse, my problems have got even worse recently, deep right hand side vaginal pain, hypersensitive clitoral pain, now lower right hand back pain, right hip pain and even radiating down inner thighs. I am utterly miserable - spent yesterday exhausted on the sofa - and more or less given up on NHS so thinking of going private even though it will take a chunk out of my retirement savings. My question is this. I’ve read somewhere that the usual type of mri scan doesn’t necessarily show up pudendal nerve damage. Is this true? I don’t know who to approach privately. I know you can have a scan and pay for someone to look at it - there’s a company does it from my local Asda car park! -but I can’t afford to be ripped off or end up still wondering what’s going on even if they say they can’t see anything. Anybody have any suggestions or experience of private scans? I’m in the UK.
