Can pelvic pain come suddenly and then disappear after few hours?

Hi all, I've had abscess near uterus and reoccurring pelvic pain for over a year. Past few months , pain will come out of the blue , be very severe, and then disappear after few hours. I'm not sure if it's the same pain I had when abscess was discovered or it's something else. Does anyone else have pelvic pain which comes on suddenly and then goes after few hours?

I think you need a CT scan.
