I had this operation 7 years ago, It was done laproscopically and was amazing but unfortunately some symptoms have returned after a fall down concrete cellar steps . Im 66 years old and this op literally was the best thing for me - I was once again very active , running ,swimming, generally keeping quite fit. I would love to hear from anyone else who has had this op and if they have suffered any returning symptoms.
Many thanks in advance

Hi there , thanks so much for replying- I am really grateful. I have the usual symptoms of prolapse , the dragging , problems peeing and poohing, backache and hip ache , my tummy swells so i look like i am 7 months pregnant if I have been on my feet too long , I cant walk very far before all these symptoms start to aggravate me , I end up with a large lump protruding out of my vagina and have to be really careful about how i sit down. I have been to a Urogyn and he seems to think that its a bladder prolapse but cant be sure until he gets in there (his words not mine) He does not think the Sacrocolpopexy has failed but again cannot be sure. So my question is how would you know? my symptoms are exactly the same at the first time maybe a little worse. As well as the Sacrocolpopexy I had an (bladder) repair -how many times can they do this type of repair? And to add insult to injury , apparently (according to this Urogyn) I should not have had this operation as I have not had a Hysterectomy - its all very confusing and I dont know who or what i should trust.
