I have never heard of this, in what ways does thickening. Of your sigmoid bothers you?

Hi it says there is a thickening is the sigmoid colon with edema and report suggested to undergo a colonscopy

I'm not sure with edema as I've never heard of that being in the colon, it could be stretched out or inflamed with caked up poo but I doubt that, you should deffo get a colonoscopy

I am actually scared of the procedure . Did you get it done without general anesthesia? If yes how did you feel afterwards? Did your rectum feel sore etc ? Any other symptoms?
