Hi all,

I have Never experienced pelvic pain like this 😣 this pain has crept up since i gave birth 4 Years ago.

I had an ultrasound a month & ago, a mass of pelvic congestion was found around my right ovary side. Which is where i get the most pain. Although i also feel like i have constant period pains.

I am due to have a laparoscopy as my Gynea was suspecting endometriosis.

This pain is so debilitating, something feels inflamed & stuck in my pelvis.

My right ovary feels like it's going to burst. Constant pressure, stabbing & backache 😣 this is awful!

Does anyone have any experience or advice please? X

I've got Endometriosis and it is debilitating. It is worth having a look on the Endometriosis section of health Unlocked where there is loads of information. I didn't think Endometriosis could be picked up on an ultrasound though but laparoscopy is good at finding out what is going on in that area x

Thank u for your reply.I really thought this was endometriosis but aparently endo & pelvic congestion share similar symptoms.

Unless it is both?

I did post on the endometriosis section last month, but unfortunately no-one replied so i thought I'd try on here. X

It sounds like it does. My bowel issues are very similar to the pelvic pain / bowel issues I've got now but I guess it's all in the same cavity so it's logical to all link up :( my doctor did say that my endometriosis does interfer with my bowel symptons so guess its the same for you too.

Oh bless u.It's such a battle isn't it 😣 x

I know what you are talking about. I had varicose veins to the uterus, larger than the doctors thumb. I also had adenomyosis, which is similar to endometriosis, except the endometrial tissue works it's way into the uterus. Causes cramping, backache, etc. About the time this was getting real bad (after my 3rd pregnancy) my ovaries became cystic. I had corpus luteum cysts. They would get the size of a grapefruit and then explode. I couldn't stand for more than 10 mins when it was flaring, about 2 weeks out of every month. I started doing dishes and the like sitting down. I am 61, and this was in the mid 80's I was going through it. At the time my doctor and 2nd opinion said I would continue to be miserable until I had a hysterectomy. I didn't want to, but I had 3 young children to take care of. The hysterectomy did help a lot with the pain. However, they left my ovaries for hormones. My ovaries went crazy following the hysterectomy, and I had them removed in 2 separate surgeries. They each had many cysts. What you are describing is exactly how I felt. I think they have new information out now, to avoid hysterectomy. The heating pad helped tremendously. Now they use hormones to stop the pain. And in extreme cases still do hysterectomies. They can shut off some of the larger veins as well. This pain can be debilitating. So sorry you're going through this, it is miserable.

Thank u so much for your reply.Mine has also got bad since my last & 3rd pregnancy. I had an endometrium post partum infection that turned into sepsis after my 3rd.. my doctor & Gynea are also thinking i may have Adenomyosis or endometriosis. But i wont no until I've had my laparoscopy operation.

Thank god for hot water bottles aye! I live with mine stuck to me.

My pelvic pain is so bad today, it feels like i have a trapped burning nerve from my ovary to my groin & dow to my inner thigh to knee πŸ˜–

I also suffer cysts that naturally burst on their own. Although mine don't grow big. Yours sound awful 😣 bless u!

I wouldn't wish this on anyway but it's nice to no we're not alone πŸ’•

Yes, I know what you mean. Interesting I had a uterine infection on my last pregnancy, I had gone to ER for pain and they said they got 39cc of pus out of my uterus. My son was 6 mths old at that point. It just kept getting worse and no doctor knew what to do.

The pain down inner thigh is referred pain. There are so many nerves in the pelvis, they can refer all the way to the ankle, when the pain is actually in pelvic floor. It's all interconnected, I think this is another reason doctors have a hard time pinning down problems, it doesn't always hurt where it feels like it is hurting. Ugh. I wish you the best in finding care to get you up and moving again.
