Has anyone had a nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test (also called NCS nerve conduction study) in regards to genital numbness or decrease in sensation in that area? I’ve had issues with pelvic pain and some loss of sensation when intimate and having physical therapy (PT) for pudendal neuralgia, however that condition has never been officially diagnosed. I was wondering if that nerve test would be beneficial in potentially identifying if nerve damage was the cause.

Nerve test for male genital sensation loss
From a females perspective I have little to none feeling in rectum and genital areas. NCT and MRI tests were carried out , diagnosis levator-ani syndrome. symptoms included pubirectalis muscles "locking" in painful spasms, inability to sit on bottom and Dysfunctional bowel and bladder.Treatment includes antispasmodic meds and painkillers. Most effective is treatment from my specialist physio who does internal/external trigger point therapy and consultant does botox into pubirectalis muscles. While treatments do not eradicate symptoms they do provide short term relief.
Hope you have positive outcome with your treatment, and find combination that works for you.
Watching but don’t have any answers. Doctors seem to be convinced that things like this are due to prostate problems.
