Join levator ani support free on Facebook... I have levator ani and I take muscle relaxers low dose during the day and gabapentin for the nerve part of it 300 mg at night also get a sitz bath from eBay and sit in that and it helps take some of the pain try not to get constipated because it will irritate it coming out... Also... We do stress as much as you can and start doing some meditation for chronic pain there is an app called pathways that you can get for free and they have some meditation videos on YouTube... You can also get suppositories to put in to relax spasm ...apart from that people are doing Botox and pain blocks

The doctor can order them from compounded pharmacy and they will mix several components such as lidocaine Valium that kind of thing or you can take a Valium pill and crush it and make your own suppositories with suppository molds you can buy on Amazon or ebay

Can reccomend anti spasm meds (colifac & spasmonal) and pain medication (tramadol) also take amitryptiline.

What works best for me is internal external vaginal trigger point therapy with a specialist pain physio in conjunction with botox injections into the pubirectalis muscle.

At present due to covid restrictions I haven't had any treatments since March and my symptoms have got significantly worse. So I hope things get back to normal soon.

Wishing you good health.

If I have an episode, I take tizanidine (prescription) and sit on a heated rice bag (like a heating pad, but homemade). This works well for me.

I’m fortunate that I only have rectal spasms on occasion. They usually start right before I go to bed, or as soon I lay down at night. I used to try to massage it away, but that seldom worked and sometimes, it would only get worse. Now I just go with the Tizanidine and heating pad. I always take two Baclofen (muscle relaxers) at night. Maybe that’s why I don’t get them more frequently. I have pelvic floor dysfunction which is likely why I get spasms sometimes. I hope you can find relief. I know this is a dreadful affliction.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles there. I have struggled with this for 10 years now. Maybe my story is on my page but I don’t get on here regularly.

Long painful story short, after trying a dozen different modalities and pills and shots, I am 80% pain free most days now ever since taking CBD full spectrum!!! (I am not in any way affiliated). I started in January just take one dose a day and it is really my miracle😁

Everyone should try this beforeANY injections, surgery or harmful drugs.

Good luck!

I now take capsules. Also have had gummies and oil. Make sure it’s full-spectrum cbd. Try it, you never know. I’m thrilled with my results❤️

I take cbd capsules and oil. It really helps. I have cbd coconut oil that I use for pelvic floor pain that I just massage in externally. It’s almost instant relief. I’m not sure if it’s actually the oil or just the massage getting the external spasms and knots out of the pelvic floor. I get my cbd online and very happy with it.
