Working with PN

Just wondering what kinds of work others do with PN and chronic pelvic pain?

Because of covid I have been on furlough pay for months, but it's soon to end. My job is reception based and I had the option of both sitting and standing. I get uncomfortable sitting and standing for too long, which can lead to terrible pain flare ups. I have been able to manage my pain at work by sitting and standing at different times throughout the day. I've been in this job for 5 years, but I'm not sure if or when I'll be returning because of covid. I have applied for some work from home jobs the last couple of months but have been unsuccessful. I've also applied for various reception and office based positions, but again unsuccessfully. I'm starting to get worried about what will happen if I dont find a suitable job by the time furlough ends.

If I claim jobseekers allowance they will probably expect me to apply for any job going, such as xmas temp jobs in warehouses or shops. I really wish I could do this type of work, but I know it will trigger my pain and I won't physically be able to.

Has anyone else experience with claiming benefits due to pn/chronic pelvic pain? Would they be understanding, or would they require a doctors letter? Or would I need to apply for disability benefit? I was diagnosed with vulvodynia 2 years ago, although I think my pain is PN, but haven't been diagnosed. I am hoping to get a referral to a pain specialist, but this might take months.

Has anyone got any advice or been in this situation?

Hi, I can only tell you that I just started the Amy Stein’s regime at home. My pfpt couldn’t help me anymore. I bought her ebook.
