It’s been a while since I posted as Iv just kept on with pelvic floor Physio, accupuncture and just trying to get on with it. I had my second pn injection done on Saturday and I am experiencing a change in pain. The site is at ischial tuberosity( site bone) mainly one side but now it’s as though there was a buzzer continuity going off at that site . Not painful but awful. Also I have a bad flare up of my ‘ normal puedendal pain. Is there anyone who has experienced this and does it settle ?
Regards
Sandra

I had a bilateral PN block performed 2 weeks ago. The Dr used a large amount of lidocaine/bivocain My entire genital area was numb for 36 hours. Before the injection I had only minor genital pain mainly in the anus region, now the pain has spread to entire genital region. I believe the injection caused inflammation and it’s getting worse every day. My pain was originally in the ischial tuberosity area and has now spread. There is a nerve near the PN called PFCN, it supplies sensation to the lower buttocks and ischial tuberosity area maybe your injection caused irritation to the nerve.
It sounds much to me like it is persistent sexual arousal disorder. It keeps buzzing, I believe with inflammation and it is unwanted and awful. Certainly in my case it seems to come and go when I feel swollen inside. I hate it! There is an oil that helps. It is hypericum. It helps me a lot. It’s not cheap but worth every penny. Hope it helps.
Me too. I’m actually heading to the University Orthopedic department this morning to have multiple saline injections along the course of the PFCN nerve. It a last attempt before surgery to “try” and free the nerve if it is actually entrapped. The Dr said it’s a shot in the dark, but I’m willing to try anything. Just hoping it does not aggravate other nerves. I’ll keep you posted. My butt has become a human dartboard 😪😁
Yeah I have this stupid buzzing sensation all around my vulva and perineum. .... I take amitriptyline 50 mg and currently waiting for Lyrica 150 mg to work... in the past Magnesium suppplements used to calm this buzzing ..it is annoying and impossible so I can relate
