Has anyone with pelvic congestion syndrome ever become pregnant after embolization?

Hi,

I am diagnosed and treated with ovarian vein embolization. Although my symptoms are not so stable, they get better. I would like to have another child but also afraid that this PCS will get worsening and not sure if embolization can help (again) Is there anyone having any experience of getting pregnant after embolization?

Thank you,

Hi I hope you do not mind me asking your advice.I wish i could help with your question but am unsure as how long i have had pelvic congestion syndrome.Although i am sure it happened after my first child. The symptoms started directly after( although have only just been diagnosed 20yrs on) and i did go on to have a second child. I had an untra sound and was told i have it amd when symptoms were really bad i went to talk to a doctor who dismissed this was causing this pain amd told me pelvic congestion.syndrome was controversial.I took this that he didnt believe in it really.Although i had a scan and it showed.Just wondered how your doctor has reacted to your diagnosis.Theu are now saying i have endo and have never mentioned pelvic congestion syndrome again.

Hi,I am sorry you have been through this too. It has been two years since my post and I learned a lot about this the hard way. All I can tell is yes, we are dealing with something most drs are lacking and not believing since the pain is hard to measure. But it is real. I suggest you to join the facebook group (search for pelvic congestion syndrome) and learn from there. I wish I could tell you all my experience but it would be a saga. In short, I regret my embolization as PCS is a result of compressed vein proximally that results in compensatory dilatation distally. The solution is to correct the narrowing part, not to destroy the compensated part. Pls join FB group and read as much as you can, especially the good the bad and the ugly before you opt for any procedure/surgery. Wish you all the best.
